The Moodle version of Marginalia is intended to enhance the online discussion forum. Students and teachers often use the margin as an additional space for conversation, to ask questions, or to simply comment on one another’s work. Margin notes can fulfill a similar role to the short verbal and non-verbal cues that sustain face-to-face conversation.
